About BlackHer Collective
The BlackHer Collective is a vibrant sisterhood and leadership space created for Black girls and women to ground in their power, joy, and love.
Rooted in Black feminist theory, restorative justice, and social-emotional learning, the Collective nurtures self-discovery, self-expression, and solidarity.
Through interactive workshops, storytelling, art, and values-driven dialogue, participants explore their identities, honor their histories, and envision liberated futures.
Our programming centers wellness, healing, and community care, ensuring every Black girl and woman feels seen, valued, and empowered to lead in her own life and community.
BlackHer Collective is more than an organization—
it’s a movement to affirm brilliance, foster leadership, and create spaces where Black girls and women can show up fully as themselves, without apology.
Our Vision
BlackHer Collective envisions a boundless movement where Black girls and women everywhere are deeply seen, boldly celebrated, and powerfully connected in spaces that honor our wholeness.
We dream of a world where our untapped potential is awakened through radical love, collective healing, unapologetic joy, and sacred sisterhood—where we are free to dream wildly, rise fully, and live as our most authentic, most brilliant selves.
BlackHer Collective intentionally cultivates safe, joyful, and empowering spaces for Black girls and women to connect, heal, and thrive.

Meet our Founder and Executive Director
Amari Roberts, M.Ed
Amari’s journey is rooted in a deep commitment to the empowerment of Black girls and women. With over seven years of experience in community organizing and advocacy, she founded the BlackHer Collective—born from her own experiences of girlhood and first envisioned in her poem Dear Society.
Through her education and years of youth work, Amari has learned the power of blending Social Emotional Learning (SEL), Positive Youth Development (PYD), Restorative Justice (RJ), Trauma-Informed Care (TIC), and healing-centered, culturally responsive frameworks to create transformative spaces.
Amari is devoted to creating the kind of space she once needed—where Black girls and women feel safe, seen, and supported. She pours into others the same care, consistency, presence, and love that once nurtured her, knowing that healing happens in community and that every Black girl and woman deserves to feel held, heard, and whole.
